By John Revill BASEL, Switzerland (Reuters) -Austria won the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 in Swiss host city Basel on Saturday, in the country's first victory since bearded drag queen Conchita Wurst won in 2014.

“It's absolutely crazy, my dreams have come true,” marveled JJ, whose real name is Johannes Pietsch, at the post-competition press conference.

Eight juries gave Austria the maximum 12 points, but Italy was close behind, topping the poll in six countries, and France the favourite for five others.
