Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has been named the Associated Press Offensive Rookie of the Year at the NFL Honors in New Orleans on Thursday.

Jayden Daniels was officially named the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year on Thursday evening. The award, voted on by the Associated Press, was announced during the 14th annual NFL Honors ceremony, as the least surprising news of the event following the Washington Commanders’ quarterback’s historic debut campaign.

Prior to the start of his rookie season, Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels told CBS Sports that he aspired to become the greatest running quarterback in NFL history. While he hasn't done that (yet),
